Some of the Lies and Fallacies of Religion.

Christianity and It's Holy Trinity of Circular Logic.

Christianity itself is my least favorite religion. Why? Because it's the one that affects my life the most. Pretty simple.

What do you mean Circular Logic?

Well this is it.

"The Bible is the word of God." 

How can you be sure it's the word of God?

"Because the Bible says so."

Okay, but why believe the Bible?

"The Bible is without error."

How do you know it is without error?

"Because the Bible is the word of God."

This is so common it might as well be written in the "How to" guide to Christian living. Which im sure it is.

This 'argument' is actually several logical blunders all rolled into one. Lets count:

1) Foundation Bias 2) Argument from Authority 3) Begging the question (AKA circular logic) 4) Tautology 5) False Premise 6) It's nonsense and an outright lie.

If we can ignore all that, and could accept the premise that there was a creator, then we are still left with even more questions.

How does one go from "and on the seventh day he rested" to "he died for our sins"?
